Join us for an evening exploring the fascinating story of Chianti Classico, one of Italy's most historic and iconic wine regions. From the legendary Black Rooster and centuries of winemaking tradition to the challenges that once tarnished its reputation, we will uncover how Chianti has transformed into one of the world's most exciting fine wine regions.

Through the exceptional wines of Carpineta Fontalpino, one of the appellation's leading family estates, we will discover why a new generation of producers is redefining what Chianti can be, crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines that rival some of Tuscany's greatest expressions.

Along the way, we will taste five outstanding wines, explore the importance of site and vineyard expression, and discover why there has never been a better time to fall in love with Chianti.

  • Fontalpino Vigna Dofana G. Selezione 2019 — their Gran Selezione from a single cru, rich and layered with savoury cherry, earth and fine tannin that reveals Tuscan character with finesse.

  • Fontalpino Chianti Classico 2022 (or 2023) — a classic, bright expression of Sangiovese from the estate’s heartland, showing fresh red fruit, herbs and vibrant acidity.

  • Fontalpino Boulè — a Metodo Classico 100% Chardonnay, silky and toasty, with delicate perlage and notes of baked bread, orchard fruit and butter.

  • Fontalpino Vigna Montaperto G. Selezione 2019 — another single-vineyard Gran Selezione, showcasing concentrated fruit, minerality and elegant ageing potential.

  • Do ut Des IGT Toscana — the estate’s Supertuscan expression, bold and generous, named for the Latin motto “I give so that you will give”.
