Two islands. One sea. Completely different souls.

Sicily and Sardinia sit in the same Mediterranean waters but could not be more distinct in character. Sicily is fire — volcanic, restless, sun-scorched, shaped by millennia of conquest and the smouldering presence of Etna. Sardinia is wind — ancient, untamed, granite-boned, ruled by traditions that seem to predate history itself. Together, they produce some of Italy's most original and thrilling wines.

WINES

Alberelli di Giodo (Carlo Ferrini) — Carricante — Sicilia DOC — Sicily (100% Carricante — volcanic terraces of Mount Etna, aged 9 months on fine lees in stainless steel — the personal project of one of Italy's most celebrated winemakers)

Sergio Genuardi — Salgemma — Terre Siciliane IGT — Sicily (100% Nero d'Avola — mountain vineyards at 400m in central Sicily, unfiltered, minimal intervention — named for the sparkle of rock salt on the limestone landscape)

I Garagisti di Sorgono — Garage — Rosato Mandrolisai DOC — Sardinia (Cannonau, Monica, Bovale Sardo — old alberello vines from the granite heart of Sardinia)

Tenute Dettori — Renosu Rosso — Vino d'Italia — Sardinia (Cannonau, Monica & Pascale — biodynamic, unfiltered, no sulphites, aged in concrete — carries no DOC/IGP appellation on the label by Dettori's own choice)

Bentu Luna — Mari — Mandrolisai DOC — Sardinia (Sardinian Bovale 35%, Cannonau 30%, Monica 30% — from the mountainous heart of the island)
