Dirupi VINO SBAGLIATO Sforzato DOCG (2017) – Lombardia, Valtellina
THE GRAPE
Hand-harvested Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) from vertigo-inducing terraces clinging to Valtellina's steep, rocky slopes—Grumello and Inferno crus at 300-650m. Sandy-gravel soils and endless alpine light birth grapes bursting with mountain soul.
THE WINE
"Wrong wine" born right: air-dried grapes yield a garnet elixir of balsamic cherries, wild herbs, tar, and alpine blooms. Bold, chewy tannins embrace spicy warmth (16% ABV), melting into endless mineral echo. Pure Valtellina magic from forgotten terraces.
FOOD PAIRING
Braised game, wild mushroom tagliatelle, aged bitto cheese—meals that roar like the Alps.
THE WINEMAKER
Davide "Faso" and Pierpaolo "Birba"—boyhood dreamers turned terrace guardians. Since 2004, they've revived Sondrio's heroic vineyards organically, bottling Valtellina's untamed heartbeat.
