Join us at Passione Vino for an evening exploring Dirupi and the extraordinary world of Alpine Nebbiolo.

In Valtellina, vineyards cling to dramatic terraces carved into the mountainside. This is the landscape behind Dirupi, the creation of Davide Fasolini and Pierpaolo Di Franco, whose wines offer a fascinating glimpse of Nebbiolo away from its more familiar Piedmontese home.

We’ll explore six bottles spanning different sites, styles and vintages, from the lively Olé to vineyard expressions Gess, Guast and Dossi Salati, alongside a mature Riserva and Sforzato. Expect stories from the slopes, plenty of conversation and a chance to discover just how many personalities one grape can have.

After the tasting, we’ll bring out a generous feast of cheese, charcuterie and Italian antipasti to share. Settle in, revisit your favourite wines and keep the conversation flowing. Mountain climbing optional; a healthy appetite encouraged.

Good to know

Your ticket is your seat: no physical ticket will be sent, just bring your name and your order confirmation. Bottles from the tasting will be available to buy on the night for a special price. Tickets are non-refundable, but you are welcome to pass yours on to a friend — just let us know the name. If you can't make it and have no one to pass it to, tell us as soon as you can: we keep a waiting list, and if we manage to resell your place, we will refund you in full. We can't promise it, but we will certainly try. Please tell us in advance of any dietary requirements so the kitchen can look after you properly.
