Cristina Prandi Langhe Nebbiolo DOC (2023) – Piemonte La Morra
A bright, silky and finely perfumed Nebbiolo.
THE GRAPE
100% Nebbiolo from Bricco Cogni in La Morra, one of the Langhe’s most expressive corners. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented spontaneously in concrete, then left to develop without oak, preserving the grape’s perfume, freshness and natural shape.
THE WINE
Nebbiolo in its most charming mood: rose petals, raspberry, red cherry, and a touch of mineral dust rise from the glass. The palate is taut and vertical, with bright acidity, delicate tannins and a savoury close that gives the wine real length without ever making it feel heavy. It has the perfume of something serious, but the drinkability of something you can open tonight.
FOOD PAIRING
Vitello tonnato, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, grilled pork or a plate of local cheese. It is built for the table and will happily follow the meal from antipasto to second course.
THE WINEMAKER
Cristina’s approach is wonderfully uncomplicated: respect the vineyard, work carefully and let Nebbiolo speak in its own accent. Her small project revives the Prandi family name while bringing a younger, brighter energy to the wines of Barolo and La Morra.
