Garlider BLAUBURGUNDER Südtirol DOC (2020) - Trentino Alto Adige

THE GRAPE
Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir).

THE WINE
Earthy and dried vegetal notes on the nose, very light hint of bacon, predominantly red berries, a hint of tobacco and tar, dried floral traces. Clear, fairly cool, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, earthy nutty and dried vegetal notes, youthful, slightly sandy tannins, still very slightly astringent, a touch of dark chocolate, moderate acid bite, good, tart, slightly smoky finish.

Aged in French/ German oak barrels (from two- to 10-years old) for one year; then in the tank for six months. Bottled with a light filtration.

Air-dried salami; grilled chicken with herbs; smoked meats.
