THE WINE
First single-vineyard Chianti bottled in 1962, an enduring icon. Aromas of sweet red currant, lavender, bay leaf, crushed stone, plum flowers, and white pepper. Full-bodied, youthful palate with powerful tannins framing raspberry, red blueberry, and Mediterranean herbs. Tense, direct core with wild strawberry, juicy blood orange, stony energy, and long elegant finish. Drink from 2026+ (97 Vinous, 97 James Suckling, Gold Decanter).
