Vin Santo Colli Etruria Centrale DOC 500ml, Buccianera (2016)
Grapes : Trebbiano & Malvasia.
Manually selected grapes are left to dry for a period of 4 months after which, with reduced water and increased sugar concentration are fermented in oak and chestun barrels.The nose is intense and complex with notes of dried fruits such as chestnut and hazelnuts, and then leave space to appetizing sweet apples of apricot, fig and raisins and honey. In the mouth is very soft and dense, the sensations of sweetness and pseudo-heat are well balanced by acidity.
Food pairing : as this Vinsanto is not overly sweet can be a fantastic option alongside less-sweet desserts like ginger cookies or simple dried fruit.
