Teularju Barbagia Rosso IGT, 2022 – Sardegna

THE GRAPE 
Cannonau. 

THE WINE
Cannonau is the dominate characteristic in this wine that is fully representative of the terroir of Barbagia. Always tended by hand and farmed organically, the vines are relatively young at around 5 years old. This retains a freshness to this often intense variety. 

In the glass, the wine is pure ruby red. In the nose, red fruits dominate with subtle elements of black and pink peppercorns. The youth of this wine leads through to its character in the mouth: elegant yet lively with red fruit notes. As much as this is a wine best appreciated with a hearty meat dish, we can also recommend drinking it alone… it has an energy that stands up to the aperitivo hour….
