Skerk, “Ograde” Venezia Giulia IGT – 2019
Grape : Vitovska, Malvazija, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio.
All grape varieties are macerated with their skins for about 15 days, in wooden containers. The must ferments with native yeasts and remains on its fine lees for twelve months in 550-litre wooden barrels and 15 to 20-hectolitre stainless steel tanks. Blood Orange, peaches along with some vegetal notes from the Sauvignon and the unmistakable complex aroma from the powerfully parfumed Malvasia. Fresh, elegant, perfectly balanced and medium on the palate with a signature finish : explosion fo grapefruits imbued with bready, yeasty notes and a pleasant, tannic funk thanks to wild fermentation. Unfilteres, natural, no added sulphites dangerously drinkable.
Food pairing : Ideal with fish dishes, great with scampi at the busara. grilled, fish soup.
