Sauvignon IGT, Stocco (2018) – Friuli venezia Giulia
Grape : Sauvignon Blanc.
The Stocco family has dedicated itself to the love and care of its land for more than 100 years, with four generations of wine producers and a history created by forward-thinking people. The Friuli Grave wine producing area is a large flood plain in the North-East of Italy.
Here, the gravelly, stony and chalky soil of the Grave boosts the fresh and mineral character of Stocco's wines youthful herbaceous nose, leads into a finely-textured gunflint palate with touches of yellow/tropical fruit and lime zest. The finish of this Sauvignon Blanc from Stocco is persistent and balanced.
Food Pairing : Sauvignon Blanc with its herbaceous notes pairs well with similar green herbs. If it has parsley, rosemary, basil, cilantro or mint, chances are Sauvignon Blanc will make a great pairing.
