“Harmoge” Bianco VDT, PrimaTerra (2011) - Liguria
Grape :Marsanne, Roussanne, Bosco, Vermentino Bianco.
Certainly, the wines of Walter De Battè are born from refined mental and philosophical research; they change over time, giving you pure pleasure while tasting them.
Harmoge means “harmony” in archaic Latin. The wine is the result of 70 years old vineyards. Macerated on skins.
Golden yellow with bright amber tints, with a complex scent of candied fruits, aromatic and balsamic herbs, resin, flint and saltiness. Taste is rich, smooth and fresh, full of mineral aromas, with light tannins on the finish. Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for several weeks. Then tonneau, leaving the must on the skin “sur lie” with frequent “battonage”.
No filtrations. Wild.
Open the bottle at least 20/30 minutes prior to drinking. Swirl it in the glass to give it the chance to aerate, it’s been closed years in the bottle, the amber nectar needs to adjust to the “new normal” (aren’t we all ?? ). Close your eyes and only then ... have the first magic sip.
Serious orange not for rookies.
Food pairing: This is a meditative wine. Sip after sip just enjoy the enjoy the journey.
