Trebbiano, Malvasia di Candia, Malvasia Puntinata.
THE WINE
This wine is produced from vineyards on volcanic soil composed of stratified gray tuff with numerous lava fragments. The vineyard is located on the slopes of the Laziale Volcano below Grottaferrata towards the sea. Fermentation is spontaneous in local chestnut barrels without the addition of any yeast or other enological additives. The wine then matures in chestnut barrels for about 15 months.
The chestnut-aged wine boasts a rich color with yellow-amber hues. It has a floral nose with notes of peach and apricot, and a delicately aromatic profile. The taste is of very ripe fruit, with organically integrated oak notes, excellent fruit extraction, and a succulent, classy finish.
