Bramaterra DOC, La Palazzina (2013) - Piemonte
Grapes : Nebbiolo, Croatina, Vespolina, Uva Rara.
La Palazzina vineyars lie at 350 m a.s.l.. Here, the volcanic soil rich in minerals is ideal for cultivating the Nebbiolo, Croatina, Vespolina and Uva rara native grape varieties.
This wine opens up with aromas of aromatic herbs, wild berry, menthol and a floral note. The tightly wound, structured palate offers dried red cherry, green pepper and anise carried by a vein of mineral. Assertive but polished tannins provide the framework.
Food pairing : elaborate dishes like game, fowl, stews and roasts, risotto and bagna cauda. Unmissable are aged cheeses like Castelmagno and Toma.
