“Amista’” Marche Rosso IGT, Ca' Liptra (2016) – Marche
Grapes : Mostly Montepulciano + Sangiovese .
On the nose the perfume displays peppery herbs which gives way to ripe strawberry, crushed stone and undergrowth. It then floods the palate silky textures, ushering in sweet spices and floral-laced fruits with a buzz of vibrant acids. The finish is fresh and energetic, coating the senses in remnants of spiced berries with inner florals echoing throughout.
An incredibly pretty wine.
Natural winemaking. Unfiltered. Indigenous yeasts.
Food Pairing : tomato based pastas, pizza and spicy Italian sausage and pepperon, beef burgers, roast pork, beef brisket, and shepherds pie.
