Alessandro Starrabba is is the face & soul at the helm of the Malacari winery. He makes some of the best value Montepulciano to found in Italy - both his Rosso Conero Villa Malacari and this more modest Rocca. The Starabba family have been making wine here since the 15th century so it’s no surprise that this wine, made exclusively from Montelpulciano grapes is superbly well balanced and flavoursome with great complexity. And superb value to boot.
