THE GRAPES
100% Nebbiolo (local name Spanna) from hillside vineyards between Sizzano and Ghemme in Alto Piemonte, on porphyritic soils typical of the region.

THE WINE
Classic Ghemme with refined intensity and balsamic elegance. Bright granato ruby with luminous transparency. Aromas of cherry, violet, rose, balsamic herbs, and spice lead to a full-bodied, mouth-filling palate. Mild, well-integrated tannins, vibrant acidity, dry sapid intensity, and long almond-tinged finish. Aged a minimum 18 months in 5hl French oak tonneaux + 6 months bottle refinement.

FOOD PAIRING
Roast meats, braised dishes, game, wild boar stew, aged cheeses—perfect for hearty Piedmontese cuisine.

THE WINEMAKER
Paride Chiovini estate in Sizzano crafts authentic Alto Piemonte DOCG wines from native Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Uva Rara. Traditional methods honour the region’s Roman-era viticultural heritage, producing savoury, age-worthy reds that balance power and finesse through careful oak ageing and minimal intervention.
