Piedmont Perfection: Meet Franco Rocca.

Perched in an enviable position atop the hills of the Barbaresco appellation in the hamlet of Bricchetto, Franco Rocca quietly produces a range of wines that encapsulate his fundamental belief in elegance.

Having inherited vineyards planted by his grandfather in the late 1980s, Franco has continued the small family business and is committed to his passion for the land. Believing that the most important place to be is amongst his beautifully positioned vineyards, he is rarely to be found in the cellar, instead leaving the wines to peacefully age. The results are exceptional: clean, elegant and with such depth that Luca and the Passione Vino team cannot help but keep making the pilgrimage to visit him at his lofty Cantina del Bricchetto.  

And so, we wanted to share our affections for Franco’s wines with you. That is why our latest Box of the Month pays homage to all things Franco Rocca. Think Barbaresco and Barbera with enough intensity to transport you to the hills of Piedmont.
