Giodo La Quinta Toscana Rosso (2022) – Toscana

Sangiovese
THE WINE
The Toscana Rosso La Quinta from Giodo winery is an intensely aromatic wine made from Sangiovese grapes. In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color. The complex bouquet is rich with notes of red fruits, smoky and woody hints, tobacco, and earthy undertones. On the palate, it is warm and enveloping, with fine and elegant tannins. It pairs beautifully with red meat dishes and game and is also excellent with aged cheeses.
This Sangiovese comes from the fifth vineyard planted by Carlo Ferrini at Podere Giodo and, like the Brunello, it embodies the region with remarkable finesse. After fermentation, La Quinta matures for 12 months—half in 500- and 2,500-liter barrels, and half in clay amphorae. It’s then ready for the market following a minimum of six months of bottle aging.
