THE WINE
This Chianti comes to a small hilly region between Florence and Siena: the "CLASSICO" DOCG, where traditionally the richest bodied wines were produced.
Today Chianti Classico is considered the iconic representation of Sangiovese producing wines with more complex structure and layers of earth and spice, also more suitable for ageing. This complex Chianti is an explosion of red cherry, currant and marjoram aromas. Medium-bodied with excellent concentration. Lovely balance, very good acidity and freshness. 

FOOD PAIRING
Chianti pairs brilliantly with tomato sauces, pizza and pasta bakes such as lasagne but it’s also a great wine with a simple grill or roast or even a burger.
