THE WINE
Chiaramonte Gulfi. Organic. Julius Caesar use to love a Grillo, this indigenous Sicilian grape varietal that means “cricket” in Italian. Think of Grillo as a fuller, funky alternative to Pinot Grigio. Young and well finished, it recalls the territory and the sea of Sicily with iodine notes. On the nose you get summer, lemons and green apple. On the palate it’s a fresh, light white with nutty, fruit-forward flavours.
