WINES
Our Valtellina Masterclass Box of the Month features five exceptional wines that capture the essence of this extraordinary terroir. Each bottle is a testament to the passion and dedication of Valtellina's winemakers. Here's a sneak peek at what awaits you:

Sandro Fay COSTA BASSA Valtellina Superiore Valgella DOCG 2019
Experience elegance and tradition in every sip with this Valtellina Superiore. The "costa bassa" means "low valley" which reaches up to 450 meters above sea level. The climatic conditions result in thinner grape skins, and in the grapes, we find medium-low acidity and soft tannins. Matured in oak barrels for 12 months.

Marco Ferrari Valtellina Superiore Inferno Docg 2019
Bodied, slender by an elegant acidity well integrated into the fruit, it shows an excellent verticality. It is a wine that exudes sincerity and frankness! 500 meters above sea level and matured for 12 months in oak barrels. The name Inferno meand hell derives from the small terraces situated in rocky ravines where summer temperatures are very high.

Sandro Fay Il Glicine Valtellina Superiore Sassella DOCG 2018
The Glicine vineyard extends over 1 hectare in the Sassella subzone at 470 meters above sea level in the municipality of Sondrio; the name derives from the homonymous plant, the wisteria, which, with its sinuosity and colour, covers the rocky spur that dominates the entire plot. Malolactic and maturation first in 30 hl oak barrels, followed by 500 L barriques.

Dirupi Valtellina Superiore DOCG 2018
Engage in a conversation with nature through this vertical expression of Valtellina. Elegant and full-bodied red wine, born from old vines on steep slopes, aged 12 months in oak barrels. Wide and elegant perfumes and an intense, warm and smooth taste express the energy of the Nebbiolo from the Alps. Vineyards are between 450 and 600 m above sea level, and the wine is aged for 12 months in 20-35 Hl of French oak.

Marino Lanzini Rosso di Valtellina 2019

A fiery red that embodies the spirit of Valtellina. The Lanzini family's heritage and expertise make this a true gem.Marino Lanzini's Rosso di Valtellina is produced from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the terraces of Ponte in Valtellina and Tresivio. After fermentation with maceration on the skins, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak and chestnut vats. The beautiful scents of ripe fruit precede a fresh, immediate, and intense sip.
