About Riccardo Sobrino and his wines...

In the mesmerizing landscape of Piedmont's Langhe region lies a hidden gem - Cascina Delle Rose: a family of artisans who produce wine in harmony with nature and believe in the importance of respect and community. Cascina Delle Rose's journey began with Giovanna, who left the fast-paced world of fashion design in 1985 and transferred full-time to her grandparents' farm in Barbaresco (Piedmont). She rescued the family vineyards on the Rio Sordo and Tre Stelle hills and began making her own wine there.
The farm was founded by Giovanna's grandmother in 1948, and she released their first bottled Barbaresco in 1952 - years ahead of most of today's Barbaresco producers who sold their grapes until the end of 1980. Today Giovanna and her husband Italy have left the management of the estate to their capable and passionate sons their sons Riccardo and Davide, but are still involved in the significant winery decisions.
