We are excited to welcome Michele Bozza from La Montina Estate to Passione Vino for a special dinner tasting. This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the leading winemakers of Franciacorta, and to taste some of his award-winning wines.

La Montina is a family-owned winery located in Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Franciacorta (Lombardy). The winery has been in the Bozza family for over 100 years, and Michele is the fourth generation to lead the business.

About Michele Bozza and his wines... 
La Montina is a family-owned winery in Monticelli Brusati, in the heart of Franciacorta in the Lombardy region. The winery has been in the Bozza family for over 100 years, and Michele is the fourth generation to lead the business.

The small area historically known as Franciacorta lies in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The name is a derivation of Curtes Francae, which refers to the zone’s 13th-century tax-free trade status, and the locale encompasses 19 townships in the Brescia province.

Franciacorta’s amphitheater-shaped growing zone was created by retreating glaciers, which left behind mineral-rich soils of morainic origin. Bordered by Lake Iseo to the north, the rolling hills here benefit from a warm microclimate, tempered by cooling breezes that descend from foothills of the Rhaetian Alps farther to the northeast.
