The Wine
La Tranquilla is a single vineyard, and the grapes come from old vines with low production and extended maceration on skins, ageing on large wooden barrels.
This is the most intense and rich Barbera from Carussin. It's intense, with notes of vanilla, sour-cherry and plum. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly tannic attack, balanced by alcohol, good body, intense flavours, and pleasing crispness. The finish is persistent with flavours of cherry, plum and raspberry.

Pasta with meat and mushrooms, meat and barbecue, hard cheese.
