"ISIDOR" Manzoni Bianco IGT, Vignaiolo Fanti (2018) - Trentino Alto Adige
Incorcio Manzoni is a cross breed between Riesling and Pinot Blanc grapes that was created in Italy during the 1930s. From Pinot Bianco, the wine gets its round, full body and plump fruit characteristics; from Riesling comes lifting acidity and a tendency towards minerality. The combination of those attributes creates an incredibly attractive style of wine that most closely resembles Chenin Blanc, or perhaps Sémillon. Concentrated, full bodied, ripe, orange-peel-scented. There are also aromas of smoke, some earthy spice, a little bit of tangy green apples, light waxy tones, a hint of sandy earth and a touch of ripe golden currants. A very lovely, pure and mineral white showing wonderful harmony between more delicate character and quite impressive power.
High acidity making it easy to be paired with almost all food items. You can enjoy the flavour of the wine with roasted cheese with thyme-infused stuffing, sheep’s milk cheese, salted dishes, sushi, roasted vegetables, grilled halloumi. "
