Bosco Sant'Agnese “Federiciano” Piedirosso Benevento IGP (2021)
THE GRAPE
Piedirosso
THE WINE
Piedirosso is unique in that it never reaches high alcohol levels. It undergoes a 15-day maceration on the skins, followed by gentle pressing to extract the juice, and is vinified in stainless steel. This dark red wine offers aromas of small red fruits on the nose, with a pleasant acidity and fine tannins on the palate, which can further improve with ageing in the bottle.
But for the curious ...
