Cascina Delle Rose Barbaresco TRE STELLE DOCG (2020) - Piemonte

£96.00 Regular price

GRAPE: Nebbiolo.

The Barbaresco denomination of origin area has many different crus, and Tre Stelle and Rio Sordo are among the most prestigious.

Tre Stelle and Rio Sordo produce fruits with different characteristics, partly due to the different soil compositions of the vineyards.
Tre Stelle sits on predominantly limestone soils, while Rio Sordo vineyards have a higher percentage of clay. The presence of limestone leads to a higher finesse, and Tre Stelle Cru is famous for generating some of the most elegant and delicately nuanced Nebbiolo in Barbaresco.

THE WINE
Impressive concentration with dynamic verve. Enveloping and multidimensional bouquet of red fruits, herbs, dried flowers and earth. The taste is rich, with sweet spices, undergrowth, wood, floral, rose, plum and stewed blackberry, clean crisp - fresh acidity, sour cherry & leather. Tannins are still relatively young, making it a great Barbaresco to drink now with a fat steak but an outstanding wine if aged for a few more years. There's a lovely lift to the imposing palate presence. Buy to keep. Luxury present.
