THE WINE 
The Albesani is a wine that deserves your undivided attention. Franco Rocca’s self proclaimed favourite wine, it has an alluring complexity that continues to reveal itself in the glass. The nose is heady and intense with elements of liquorice, leather, spices and fresh herbs, with subtle notes of tar emerging. This intoxicating mélange is reflected on the palate.

With a silk-like texture in the mouth, the dominant note is that of an aged balsamic while there is a harmonious play of dried fruits and autumn berries. The tannins have mellowed through the years but remain structured and balanced. This is a wine is wonderful now but will age even better.
